1. Bridge type crane
It can operate in rectangular fields and above, and is commonly used for loading and unloading items in workshops, warehouses, open-air yards, etc. There are beam cranes, bridge cranes, gantry cranes, cable cranes, and carrier bridges.
Bridge crane is a lifting equipment that is horizontally suspended above workshops, warehouses, and material yards for material lifting. Due to its two ends resting on tall cement columns or metal supports, it has a bridge like shape. The bridge of the overhead crane runs longitudinally along the tracks laid on both sides of the elevated structure, making full use of the space below the bridge to lift materials without being obstructed by ground equipment. It is the most widely used and numerous type of lifting machinery.
Portal crane is a variation of bridge crane. In ports, it is mainly used for loading and unloading operations of outdoor cargo yards, material yards, and bulk cargo. Its metal structure is like a portal frame, with two legs installed under the main beam, which can walk directly on the ground track. The two ends of the main beam can have outward overhanging cantilever beams. Portal cranes have the characteristics of high site utilization, large operating range, wide adaptability, and strong universality, and are widely used in port cargo yards.
2. Boom crane
The boom crane includes four types: cantilever crane, tower crane, mobile crane, and gantry crane; There are three types of cantilever cranes: column mounted, wall mounted, and balanced.
① A column type cantilever crane is a cantilever crane composed of a column and a cantilever that can rotate around a fixed column on a base, or a cantilever that is rigidly connected to a rotating column and rotates together relative to the vertical centerline within the support of the base. It is suitable for situations with small lifting capacity and a service range of circular or fan-shaped operations. Generally used for workpiece clamping and handling in machine tools and other applications.
② A wall mounted crane is a cantilever crane fixed to a wall, or a cantilever crane that can run along an elevated track on a wall or other supporting structure.
③ A balanced crane, commonly known as a balance crane, uses the principle of a four-bar linkage mechanism to form a balance system between the load and the balance weight. It can flexibly and easily lift loads in three-dimensional space using various lifting devices.
