1. Maintenance of electric motors and reducers

Firstly, it is necessary to regularly check the temperature of the motor casing and bearing parts, as well as the noise and vibration of the motor for any abnormal phenomena. In the case of frequent start-up, the ventilation and cooling capacity is reduced due to low speed, and the current is high, which will quickly increase the temperature rise of the motor. Therefore, it should be noted that the temperature rise of the motor should not exceed the upper limit specified in its manual. Adjust the brake according to the instructions in the motor manual. The daily maintenance of the reducer can refer to the manufacturer's user manual. And the anchor bolts of the reducer should be checked regularly to ensure that the connection is not loose.

2. Lubrication of walking devices

Secondly, in the maintenance technology of crane components, it is important to remember good ventilation fan lubrication. When using, the ventilation cap of the reducer should be opened first to ensure good ventilation and reduce internal pressure. Before starting work, it is necessary to check whether the height of the lubricating oil level of the reducer meets the requirements. If it is lower than the normal oil level, the same type of lubricating oil should be added in a timely manner.

The bearings of each wheel of the walking mechanism have been filled with sufficient lubricating grease (calcium based grease) during assembly, and do not require daily refueling. Lubricating grease can be replenished every two months through the oil hole or by opening the bearing cover. Lubricating grease should be removed, cleaned, and replaced annually.

Apply lubricating grease to the meshing points of each open gear once a week.

3. Maintenance and upkeep of the winch unit

Regularly observe the oil window of the crane gearbox and check whether the lubricating oil level is within the specified range. When it is below the specified oil level, the lubricating oil should be replenished in a timely manner.

When the crane is not frequently used and the sealing condition and usage environment are good, the lubricating oil in the gearbox should be replaced every six months. When the usage environment is harsh, it should be replaced every quarter. When water ingress is found in the crane case or there is always foam on the oil surface and it is determined that the oil has deteriorated, the oil shall be replaced immediately. When changing the oil, the oil should be replaced strictly according to the instructions in the gearbox manual, and mixed use of oil should be avoided.
